6: Payment Methods

For purchases made from outside Japan, payment may be made by credit card only.

Available payment methods will be displayed on the applicable product page or payment screen.

7: Timing of Payment

For credit card payments, payment is processed at the time of application or purchase.

For subscription services billed monthly, annually, or at another recurring interval, the initial payment is processed at the time of subscription, after which the subscription will automatically renew and payment will be processed for each subsequent subscription period.

Specific payment dates, renewal dates, and subscription periods are subject to the terms displayed on each product page or payment screen.

8: Delivery and Commencement of Services

After payment has been completed, video courses will generally be available for viewing immediately through the method specified by MOSH.

For courses with a separately designated release date, access will be provided on or after the release date stated on the applicable product page.

9: Viewing Period

The viewing period shall be as stated on each product page.

For one-time purchase video courses, the viewing period is guaranteed for one year from the date of purchase.

After the guaranteed viewing period has expired, you may continue to access the course for as long as the Service and the applicable course remain available.

We may discontinue the provision of a course for reasonable reasons, including, but not limited to, termination of the Service, termination or modification of the platform or system used to provide the Service, changes to our method of operation, discontinuation of an older version of a course due to substantial revisions or updates, or compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

If, before one year has elapsed from the date of purchase, a course becomes unavailable due to termination of the Service or any other reason not attributable to the customer, a refund will be provided in accordance with Section 10.

If a course is to be discontinued, we will provide advance notice to the extent reasonably possible.

For subscription services, access to the applicable content is available only during the subscription period. Whether content remains accessible after cancellation, and the extent to which previously available content may be viewed, shall be as stated on the applicable product page or service information page.

10: Cancellations, Refunds, and Returns

Due to the nature of digital content, including video courses, online courses, and membership-based content, cancellations, refunds, and returns requested for the customer’s own reasons are generally not accepted after payment has been completed. Please review the course details carefully before making a purchase.

However, if a one-time purchase video course becomes unavailable before one year has elapsed from the date of purchase due to termination of the Service or any other reason not attributable to the customer, a refund will be provided based on the amount actually paid and the period of time that has elapsed before the course became unavailable. Taking into account that the entire content of the course is available for viewing immediately after purchase as a one-time purchase digital product, the applicable refund rates are as follows:

• Less than 1 month from the date of purchase: 50% of the purchase price
• 1 month or more but less than 6 months from the date of purchase: 30% of the purchase price
• 6 months or more but less than 1 year from the date of purchase: 10% of the purchase price

If the course is discontinued after one year has elapsed from the date of purchase, no refund shall be provided under this Section.

The refunds provided for under this Section apply only where the applicable course becomes unavailable during the guaranteed viewing period due to termination of the Service or any other reason not attributable to the customer. They do not apply to cancellations, discontinuation of viewing, or similar circumstances for the customer’s own reasons.

Upon issuance of such refund, the agreement relating to the applicable course shall be deemed terminated.

Nothing in this Section shall prejudice or restrict any rights available to the customer under applicable law, including rights of termination, claims for damages, or other remedies arising from breach of contract or other legally recognized grounds.

11: Cancellation of Subscription Services

Subscription services may be canceled at any time using the prescribed cancellation procedure.

Please follow the cancellation procedure provided through your MOSH account page, the applicable application page, or any other method specified by us.

Once the cancellation procedure has been completed, future automatic renewals and recurring payments will cease.

Fees that have already been paid are generally non-refundable, including on a prorated basis. This does not apply where a refund is required by applicable law.

12: System Requirements

Use of the Service requires an internet connection and a compatible viewing device, such as a smartphone, tablet, or computer.

If content cannot be viewed due to the customer's internet connection, device, browser settings, application settings, or other circumstances relating to the customer's own environment, the purchase will generally not be eligible for a refund. This does not apply where we are legally liable under applicable law.

Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) set forth the terms and conditions governing the use of video courses, online courses, membership content, teaching materials, documents, and other related services (collectively, the “Service”) provided by the operator of Ramen Method Lab (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

Users must review and agree to these Terms before applying for or purchasing the Service.

Article 1. Application

These Terms apply to all video courses, online courses, membership content, teaching materials, documents, distributed content, email communications, and other related services provided by us.

If the Service is accessed or purchased through MOSH or any other third-party sales platform, the terms of service and other applicable rules of that platform will also apply.

Article 2. Service

The Service provides video courses for learning knowledge and techniques relating to ramen, including ramen preparation techniques, soups, tare, aromatic oils, noodles, toppings, restaurant operations, product development, and other related subjects.

Details of the Service, delivery format, viewing period, and other applicable conditions will be stated on the relevant sales page or information page.

Article 3. Application and Formation of Contract

Users must apply for the Service using the method specified by us.

For credit card payments, a contract for use of the Service is formed between us and the user when the application and payment procedures have been completed.

For bank transfers, a contract for use of the Service is formed when payment has been confirmed by us or by the applicable payment system.

If an application contains false, incomplete, or fraudulent information; if the Service is intended to be used in violation of these Terms; or if we otherwise reasonably determine that the application is inappropriate, we may refuse the application or terminate a contract that has already been formed.

Article 4. Fees and Payment

Service fees, payment timing, and other payment terms are subject to the conditions displayed on the applicable sales page or payment screen.

For applications made from within Japan, payment may be made by credit card or bank transfer.

For applications made from outside Japan, payment may be made by credit card only.

Available payment methods will be displayed on the applicable sales page or payment screen.

If payment is made by bank transfer, the user is responsible for any bank transfer fees.

When using a credit card from outside Japan, additional fees may be charged by the card issuer or other financial institution, including international transaction fees, foreign exchange conversion fees, or other applicable charges. Any such fees are the responsibility of the user.

Users are also responsible for communication charges, internet connection fees, and any other costs necessary to use the Service.

Article 5. Subscription Services

When using a recurring subscription service billed monthly, annually, or at another interval, the user agrees to the subscription period, renewal terms, fees, payment method, and cancellation procedure stated on the applicable sales page.

Unless the user completes the prescribed cancellation procedure, the subscription will automatically renew for each subscription period stated on the applicable sales page, and payment will be processed automatically.

Once the cancellation procedure has been completed, future automatic renewals and recurring payments will cease.

Fees that have already been paid are generally non-refundable, including on a prorated basis. This does not apply where a refund is required by applicable law.

Cancellation deadlines, availability of content after cancellation, access to previously released content, and other applicable conditions will be stated on the applicable sales page or information page.

Article 6. Viewing Period

The viewing period for the Service is subject to the terms stated on the applicable sales page.

For one-time purchase video courses, the minimum viewing period is one year from the date of purchase. If a viewing period longer than one year is stated on the applicable sales page, that longer period will apply.

After the minimum viewing period has expired, the course may continue to be viewed for as long as the Service and the applicable course remain available.

The provision of a course may be discontinued for reasonable reasons, including termination of the Service; termination or modification of the platform or system used to provide the Service; changes to the method of operation; discontinuation of an older course due to substantial revisions or updates to course content; compliance with laws or regulations; or other reasonable circumstances.

If access to a course becomes unavailable before one year has elapsed from the date of purchase due to termination of the Service or any other reason not attributable to the user, a refund will be provided in accordance with Article 7.

If a course is discontinued after one year has elapsed from the date of purchase, no refund will generally be provided unless a refund is required by applicable law.

If a course is to be discontinued, we will notify users or make a public announcement in advance to the extent reasonably possible.

For subscription services, applicable content may be viewed only during the subscription period. Availability of content after cancellation and access to previously released content are subject to the terms stated on the applicable sales page or service information page.

Article 7. Cancellations and Refunds

Due to the nature of digital content, including video courses, online courses, membership content, and PDF materials, cancellations, refunds, and returns requested for the user’s own reasons after payment has been completed will generally not be accepted.

However, for a one-time purchase video course, if access to the applicable course becomes unavailable before one year has elapsed from the date of purchase due to termination of the Service or any other reason not attributable to the user, the amount actually paid by the user will be prorated over 12 months, and the portion corresponding to the remaining period until one year from the date of purchase will be refunded.

The refund amount will be calculated as follows:

Amount actually paid ÷ 12 × Number of months remaining from the date access becomes unavailable until one year from the date of purchase

If the remaining period includes a fraction of a month, that fraction will be counted as one full month.

Upon issuance of such refund, the contract relating to the applicable course will be deemed terminated.

Refunds will generally not be provided for reasons attributable to the user, including the user’s internet connection, device environment, operational difficulties, insufficient viewing time, level of understanding of the content, or differences between the content and the user’s expectations.

Article 8. Viewing Environment

Users are responsible, at their own expense, for preparing the internet connection, devices, browsers, applications, software, and other equipment or environment necessary to use the Service.

If the Service cannot be accessed or viewed due to the user’s internet connection, device environment, browser or application settings, or other circumstances relating to the user’s own environment, the purchase will generally not be eligible for a refund.

Article 9. Account Management

Users are responsible for properly managing their login credentials, account information, passwords, and other authentication information.

Users may not lend, transfer, share, sell, or change the registered name of their account to or with any third party.

We will not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from inadequate account management, errors in use, or unauthorized use by a third party attributable to the user.

Article 10. Prohibited Activities

Unless expressly permitted by us or permitted by applicable law, users must not engage in any of the following activities in connection with the Service:

• Reproducing, republishing, distributing, selling, publishing, or sharing without authorization any videos, audio recordings, images, text, materials, written content, recipes, course content, know-how, or other content.

Article 11. Copyright and Intellectual Property Rights

Use of any content provided through the Service, including recipes, formulations, preparation methods, cooking techniques, course content, and know-how, beyond the scope permitted under these Terms is prohibited.

Users may use the content of the Service within the scope permitted by these Terms for their own learning and as a reference for their own cooking, restaurant operations, product development, and related activities.

Article 12. Permitted Use of Recipes and Technical Information

Recipes, formulations, preparation methods, cooking techniques, and product development information provided through the Service may be used as a reference for the user’s own learning, research, restaurant operations, cooking, and product development.

Users may apply the techniques and concepts learned through the Service to their own restaurants and products.

However, users may not publish, provide, or sell the Service’s teaching materials, recipes, course content, or other materials, either in their original form or in a substantially identical form, through courses, teaching materials, videos, seminars, social media, websites, paid content, consulting services, or any other means.

Users may also not use our name, an instructor’s name, logos, or other identifying marks without authorization in a manner that suggests that the user or the user’s products or services are affiliated with, supervised by, certified by, endorsed by, or otherwise officially connected with us or an instructor.

Article 13. Results and Effectiveness

The Service provides users with an opportunity to learn knowledge, techniques, concepts, preparation methods, and other information relating to ramen.

Even when the same ingredients, procedures, or numerical values presented in the Service are used, we do not guarantee identical results in terms of taste, aroma, texture, appearance, or any other characteristic.

We also do not guarantee improvement in the user’s skills, successful commercialization, product quality, sales, customer acquisition, profitability, customer evaluations, restaurant performance, or any other business results.

Article 14. Food Safety and Business Responsibilities

If users apply knowledge or techniques learned through the Service to restaurant operations, product sales, event sales, mail-order sales, food preparation, cooking, or any other commercial purpose, users are responsible for confirming and complying with all applicable laws, regulations, ordinances, and other requirements in the country or region where the food or products are provided or sold, including those relating to food hygiene, business licenses, food labeling, and allergen labeling.

When preparing food for persons with allergies or providing food to third parties, users must confirm the ingredients, seasonings, raw materials, and allergens used, and must implement any safety management procedures and labeling required in the country or region where the food is provided.

We will not be liable for food-related incidents, allergic reactions, sales-related disputes, or other loss or damage arising from matters attributable to the user, including the user’s own hygiene management, cooking practices, selection of ingredients, storage, serving, labeling, or compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Article 15. Changes, Suspension, or Termination of the Service

Where reasonably necessary, we may change the content of the Service, distributed content, method of delivery, course structure, support services, or other aspects of the Service.

We may also temporarily suspend or terminate all or part of the Service due to system maintenance, termination or malfunction of third-party services, communication failures, natural disasters, accidents, compliance with laws or regulations, circumstances affecting an instructor, or other unavoidable circumstances.

For one-time purchase video courses, if the applicable course is discontinued within one year from the date of purchase, the matter will be handled in accordance with Articles 6 and 7.

If a course is discontinued after the minimum viewing period has expired, we will notify users or make a public announcement in advance to the extent reasonably possible.

Article 16. Suspension of Use and Termination of Contract

If a user violates these Terms, we may, depending on the nature and severity of the violation, take necessary measures including suspending provision of the Service to that user, suspending the user’s account, terminating the contract, or refusing future use of the Service.

If the violation is serious or requires urgent action, we may take such measures without prior notice.

If a contract is terminated due to the user’s violation of these Terms, fees already paid will generally not be refunded. This does not apply where a refund is required by applicable law.

If we suffer loss or damage as a result of a user’s violation of these Terms, we may seek compensation from the user in accordance with applicable law.
